MTANS is now requesting applications for Examiners for the 2009 OSCEs
Below is the criterion for examiners.
Examiner Application (taken from Examination and Education Standards Committee Policy)
1. Cannot be a sitting member of the MTANS Board of Directors
2. Must be a member in good standing with MTANS
3. Must have been practicing massage therapy for a minimum of 2 years
4. Must be a graduate of a 2200 hour massage therapy diploma program
5. If an applicant has recently joined MTANS they must either have practiced a minimum of 2 years in a legislated province or must wait 2 years as a member of MTANS before applying
6. Applicants must submit 2 letters of reference (preferably professional) with their application including contact information for the references.
7. Must not have taught, assisted in teaching at any massage school in Nova Scotia or been a tutor for the last 2 years
8. Must take part in the examiner training program run by MTANS
9. If extenuating circumstances exist applications will be assessed on a case by case basis.
